The essential elements for this project were to incorporate the existing school color, logo, and motto of Truman State University but still create something fresh. I created this brochure for the admissions department to give to potential students. I wanted to put a fun spin on the school motto, "Don't follow. Pursue.", so I paired it with a space exploration theme. Also, to modernize the color palette, I used orange as secondary color alongside the requisite purple.
Since admissions information to a college can be daunting, I wanted to keep the brochure intriguing and create a different experience every time they turned the page.
I used information in the current admissions brochure but updated portions to fit with the space theme. On the back I listed directions to Truman. It is located in the north of Missouri near Iowa, so calling it the North Star is pretty fitting!
